Mermelada de Guayaba – Guava jam

The guavas, also called guayavas, is a fruit native to Central and South America. Round or pear-shaped 3-10 cm in diameter, with thin skin, in colors light green, yellowish or pinkish-reddish. The flesh is light or pink-reddish with a strong and characteristic smell and taste.
The edible fruits of the guava have a very high content of vitamin C (about five times more than oranges).
