Yerba Mate

Yerba mate, also called mate tea, is a South American drink made from dried leaves and twigs of the Paraguayan holly (ilex paraguariensis). It was known to the Guarani Indians as a remedy for fatigue and to relieve hunger.

When poured over we get a natural energy drink with caffeine, vitamins and minerals.

More information: What is yerba mate

  • organica bio

There are yerba mate brands with the official ‹Organica› certificate and also those that are organically grown, but without this certificate. This certificate is not given free of charge and therefore small farms do not use this document to invest the money in plant care or for the employees.

Both variants are marked as 'organic' in my shop.
